AIIMS PG 2026 Application Form

AIIMS PG 2026 Eligibility Criteria

We have mentioned course-wise AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2026 in the below section:

For INI CET:

  • Nationality: Applications will be open to Indian Nationals/ OCI/ NRI & foreign national only.
  • Qualification: To be eligible, students must hold an MBBS degree recognised by MCI/ NMC.
  • Internship: A mandatory one-year rotating internship or practical training period must be completed by all applicants on or before 31st July 2026.
  • Percentage: Candidates need to have secured a minimum of 55% marks in their qualifying degree (50% for SC/ ST category). 
  • Appearing: Those in their final year of the qualifying degree program will also be eligible to apply for INI CET.

For INI SS:

  • Qualification: It will be mandatory to obtain a MD/ MS degree from any MCI approved board or university to apply.
  • Age Limit: Student’s upper age will be set to 35 years as on 1st January 2026 with a maximum of 3 years age relaxation for OBC category and 5 years for SC/ ST category.
  • Appearing: Applicants who will be appearing for the final year of qualifying degree will be also eligible.

AIIMS PG 2026 Exam Pattern

  • Exam Duration: Students will be allotted 3 hours for INI CET & 1 hour and 30 minutes for INI SS.
  • Medium: Candidates will get the question paper in English language only.
  • Total Questions: Total 200 questions will be in INI CET and 80 questions in INI SS exam.
  • Questions Type: There will be Objective Type- Single Correct Choice in INI SS and Objective Type- Single & Multiple Correct Choice in INI CET exam.
  • Marking Scheme: Students will earn 1 mark for each correct response, while 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

All details on the admit card should be verified and any discrepancies should be reported to the authority immediately. It will contain essential details such as name, roll number, exam time, date & venue, so it will be mandatory to carry the admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam hall.

Students will be able to check their AIIMS PG Result 2026 via online mode from the website. Results for INI CET-January session will be announced by the authority on 15th November 2025. Students must check their INI SS Result for January session will be released on 28th October 2025.

To view their results, applicants must log in using their application number and password. A merit list prepared separately, consisting of overall rank and roll number. The merit list will be released to select eligible candidates for the subsequent stages of the admission process.

AIIMS PG 2026 Cut Off

After the completion of exam, authority will release the AIIMS PG Cut Off 2026 via online mode in a PDF format. Cut Off for INI CET & INI SS exam for each session will be prepared separately, representing the minimum marks needed to qualify for the exam.

Cut off criteria for AIIMS PG will be determined by several variables, such as number of candidates appearing for exam, past year’s cut-off trends, exam’s difficulty etc. 

AIIMS PG 2026 Counselling

AIIMS PG Counselling 2026 will be organized separately for both INI CET & INI SS exam via online mode in multiple rounds. Seat allocation at various participating institutes will be done based on the rank/score in entrance exam, seat availability and choice preferences filled.

Counselling will be organized separately in December 2025 for INI CET & INI SS- January Session. After the allotment process, students must undergo medical examination and complete the documents verification process.
