Aadhaar Card for JEE Main 2018: Clarification, FAQ’s, Requirements

Aadhaar Card Requirements for JEE Main 2017JEE Main is a national level entrance exam conducts for admission into B.Tech & B.Arch Programme. These programmes is offered by NITs, IIITs and other engineering institutions all over the country. JEE Main 2018 is organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The board will organize the JEE Main 2018 exam via online and offline modes. Application form was available from 1st December 2017. The MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India has notified changes in the JEE Main exam. From 2017, Aadhaar Card is mandatory for registration.

It has been observed that many applicants are facing problem in filling the aadhaar card details. Keeping this in mind, here we are listing some FAQs regarding the aadhar card clarification in JEE Main 2018:

Candidate must ensure that Name, date of birth & gender in online application for JEE (Main) 2018 must be same in X,XII Certificate/Marksheet and Aadhaar Card details for the purpose of his/her identity and authentication

Answer: Candidates who have passed or appearing in Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam & Meghalaya need to enter the passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states only.

Requirement of Aadhaar Card

Candidates, those are a citizen of India should possess Aadhaar Card issued by the UIDAI. During the application form filling, candidates have to fill their Aadhaar Card Number, Name, Date of Birth & Gender which will be validated with the UIDAI data. If, the given details will not match, candidates will not be able to fill the JEE Main 2018 Application Form. Candidates are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar Card details have correct according to the school records. In case, there is some mismatch in the given details, candidates should immediately get it corrected in Aadhaar data or school records.

Condition I:

Candidates who have not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, they are required to make application for Aadhaar enrollment. Such candidates may visit any Aadhaar enrollment centre or facilitation centre to get enrolled for Aadhaar. The CBSE board has set up the facilitation centres in each examination city for the purpose of Aadhaar enrollment. No fee will be charged for Aadhaar enrollment.

Condition II:

Candidates, those have enrolled for Aadhaar & have not received Aadhaar should fill 28 digit Aadhaar Enrollment ID printed on the Aadhaar enrollment slip during form filling.

Condition III:

If an Aadhaar enrollment facility is not provided at the facilitation centres, candidates can submit a request for Aadhaar Enrollment. The facilitation centre will provide a registration number to such candidates. Candidates filled the given registration number at the time of form filling.

Condition IV:

The above procedure will be applicable in all states except Assam, J & K and Meghalaya. Candidates, those have qualified or appearing in 10+2 examination from the above state need to fill their ration card number, passport number, bank account number or any other valid government identity number. They will select the examination city in these states only.

    Sir, My name miss spelled in Aadhar card from my school records and from other proof, the exam will start on 15/April/2018 (one day left), i am already filled the admit card with my old aadhar named and i got the hard copy and print it out, is there any problem that i doesn’t update the aadhar details before examination?

    SirCBSE given chance to update corrected new details in JEE MAINS 2018 application on 21/03/2018, I have applied for my name correction in aadhar as per my school records,but not yet atvrecieved.last date is tomorrow only i.e.26/03/2018,and atleast correction through enrollment number is also not given
