JNU JNUEE 2017 Result (Second List) has been released now. Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE 2017) is a university level entrance examination that is managed by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. This entrance exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes offered by JNU. This exam is held once in a year. JNU 2017 Pre-Enrollment Form has been released now. In this article, we are updating the brief information about JNU admission 2017 which includes the details of  result, counselling, admission, etc.

JNU Admission Procedure 2017

The JNU 2017 Admission Procedure is starting from 18th July 2017 . Candidates can register themselves on the basis of their prescribed course on different dates. Candidates will have to pay an admission fee to confirm their seats in the form of DD of Rs. 5000/- (Rs. 2500/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) that is non refundable.

JNU 2017 Result

JNU 2017 Result (2nd List) has been released now. The conducting authority displayed the result on the official portal. After the result declaration, the selected candidate will be called for the Viva-Voce. Candidates will also inform through email. Candidate will be selected on the basis of the written test. JNU 2017 Final Result for CEEB exam has been released on 29th June 2017.

Merit List:

After the result declaration and Viva-Voice, separate merit lists will be prepared according to the courses. The merit list without viva-voice will be posted on the official site in the month of July 2017 (tentative). And the merit list viva voice is prescribed will also be provided on July 2017 (tentative). On the basis of merit list, the candidate will be called for the admission process. There is no procedure of the counselling process.

Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi is the main authority which organizes a university level examination. This examination is called as Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE 2018). Through this exam, candidates will get admission into UG, PG & doctoral degree courses. Candidates will be able to get the application from the 2nd week of February 2018.

JNU 2017 Admit Card

Candidates can download their admit card from the conducting body official site. The JNU Entrance Exam 2017 Admit Card was published on 21st April 2017. The candidates bring the admit card to the examination centre with a copy of latest passport size photograph. Candidate will get their admit card by entering their registration number and Date of Birth.

JNUEE 2017 Application Form

The candidate can get the application form via online  process. The JNU 2017 Application Form was available on the website from 21st March 2017. The last date for online registration was 5th April 2017 . Candidates will get an option to apply for maximum of three fields of study of their choice for the same level of programmes through the same application form. Before the final submission of online application form, candidates must be ready with the scanned documents of photograph and signature. They have to upload their recent scanned colored photograph and signature in JPG format. Resolution of photograph should be 150×200 pixels and size will be between 20-50 KB. Size of signature should be between 10-20 KB.  The maximum file size for Photo and Signature is 50 KB. The application correction facility was available till 7th April 2017.

Application Fee:

Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode. The fee can be paid through debit/credit card or net banking.

JNUEE Eligibility Criteria

Here, we are providing the eligibility criteria for various programmes.

  • Candidates who will apply for the M.Phil./Ph.D. programme, have to be passed their master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the concerned language/subject.
  • Those candidates applying for the MA course, have to be completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks.
  • Candidates who want to appear in the B.A. (Hons.) 2nd year, they have to be qualified first year of bachelor’s degree or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
  • Candidates those want to apply for B.A.(Hons.) 1st Year, they have to be passed the senior school certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination.

JNU Entrance Exam Pattern

The JNU Entrance Exam 2017 exam pattern for various courses will be different that includes the total number of questions, exam duration, total marks and marking scheme. The question paper of the entrance examination will comprises of Multiple Choice question. The exam pattern is given as below:

PhD:  The PhD entrance test for applicants appearing for JNU 2017 is to evaluate the awareness of a candidate in the particular specialized area of his/her interest. The written test will consist analytical and critical appraisal type questions.

M.SC: Applicants have to go through the topics of physics, physical chemistry and mathematics of B.Sc level. The test will consist of objective type questions.

MCA: Questions will be of objective types and will consist of questions related to Computer application and information technology.

M.Tech: All questions will be of multiple choice types. The question paper will be divided into two parts. The first part will consist of questions in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology and the second part will consist of questions in following specialization of Biology and Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/ Statistics, Engineering Sciences.

M.A: Candidates will be examined in the subjects and specialization in the standard B.A course.

BA (Honors): This general aptitude test will consist of objective type questions and short answers.  The entrance test for BA (Honors) Foreign Languages will consist of sections of General Knowledge, General English and Elementary Knowledge.

For preparation of exam, you can go through the previous year’s papers and sample papers which are available in official website of JNU.

JNU Entrance Syllabus

The syllabus of the entrance exam will be different as per the different courses. Th detailed syllabus will be prescribed by the conducting authority on the date of notification.
